Thanks for dropping by…

I live in Lytham St Anne’s, Lancashire UK, with my wife, mid-teens family and pets. I was a pro-photographer years ago and now, in between jobs and family, I still keep my hand in both film and digital cameras… like my new 24mb Sony Alpha mirrorless. It’s fantastic and makes me smile every time I use it.

In the past I photographed for a wide range of private and commercial clients including family portraits, weddings, press work and advertising.

I was a press photographer for the Manchester Guardian Newspaper Group, covering news and advertising assignments. I photographed people like Sir John Major, Kiki Dee, Ken Dodd and many more, making sure the paper got the shots on time for the printing deadline resulting in 1,000’s of publications over the year.

I was chosen as one of the Official Preston Guild 2012 photographers to spend the year documenting over 50 events across the city, along with the International Corporate Games events which included 40 international companies like IBM, Vodafone, Jaguar, Fujitsu, and others, taking part in 30 sports events at multiple venues.

I was published in the official Preston Guild, and the International Corporate Games year books, and see the links below (sounds a lot to take in, and it was. I shot 2,500 images in one weekend alone).

I was trained in photography at my local Art College, before working as a Pro-photographer for the National Trust in the North West UK, recording valuable collections, historical sites and venues, (shooting lots of dry stone walls is very character building). I photographed new art collection opening nights and regularly photographed celebrities and notable people from the Trust at special events.

I grew up with film and ran my own darkroom and hand printed for private and commercial clients, and I can produce both traditional (I love the smell if Fix in the morning) and digital fine art images .
